Oh dear... this is worryingly plausible! >_<

The Blogalyser reveals...

Your blog/web page text has an overall readability index of 16.

This suggests that your writing style is intellectual
(to communicate well you should aim for a figure between 10 and 20).Your blog has 50 sentences per entry, which suggests your general message is distinguished by verbosity
(writing for the web should be concise).

CHARACTER MATRIX

malemalefemalefemale
selfoneselfgroupworldworld
pastpastpresentfuturefuture

Your text shows characteristics which are 56% male and 44% female
(for more information see the Gender Genie).
Looking at pronoun indicators, you write mainly about yourself, then the world in general and finally your social circle. Also, your writing focuses primarily on the present, next the past and lastly the future.

Find out what your blogging style is like!

Hahaha! I only did this meme because I saw it on the journal of [livejournal.com profile] desperance ... Oh dear, look what happened...

Your result for Reincarnation Placement Exam...

Lol Cat

42% Intrigue, 44% Civilization, 59% Humanity, 32% Urbanization.

After much consideration, we have decided to make you a LolCat.

Actually, there wasn't much consideration at all. It was the easiest decision we've made all day.

Why? Because, according to your answers, you want to have your good times, but don't seem too interested in all that "other stuff." You know... civilization, adventure, that sort of thing.

We hope you like being fluffy.

I don't know... Can you has cheezburger?

Since I'm lacking in inspiration - again - for interestin' stuff to write, I thought I'd have a stab at this, as seen in the journal of [livejournal.com profile] murderofonerose.

1 - Go to Wikipedia's "random article" link. The first random article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations. The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr's "explore the last seven days". Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Random Records is proud to introduce their latest signing...

Drumroll please... )

Disjointed dribble

Eep.  Sheesh.  Sorry.  This entry is dull.  But I feel I have nothing very witty or interesting to write at the present moment!  So many things to say, and I'm pretty sure nobody would be interested really...  That is the trouble with me.  I am very opinionated, and sometimes my mind wants to board some train of thought that takes me off on a tangential daytrip (more like a mental gap year, currently... hmm, now I want to put in some reference to Brave New World, soma, etc.  Why do I always want to do that?!).  There I go, accumulating insightful things to say... about topics that are most likely of no interest to the general population.  (Er, that is, the merry, motley, bijou band of nice people who read this stuff!)  And me being me, despite the fact that this is my journal and I can write what I want in it, I am extremely reluctant to put in things that I fear may bore you. :-)

So instead of that species of boring, here's another.  (I am so logical!)

Without further ado... first order o' bizniz: yon Survey.  As seen here and there, including the journal of [profile] murderofonerose.

Don't know who writes these things, but sometimes I stare at them for some seconds before I can work out what is meant by the questions.  This could be because I am slow-witted and lacking in blood sugar, or... no.  That's probably it. :-)  Anyway, I've anglicised the spelling and grammar/reworded some of it,  for the benefit of... well, me, mostly. ;-)  Also, there was no question 26, so I put one in.  [Once again there are some personal questions in here - interspersed with enquiries as to your favourite vegetable, and your opinion of clowns. o_O  Don't blame me - I don't write this stuff - except for question 26, of course. ;-) ]

Numéro Deux on your songsheet... can anyone recommend to me a decent, affordable hotel in Paris?  That would be really helpful. :-)

[profile] murderofonerose  tagged me - so here goes!

1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open it on page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Copy the next three sentences into your blog.
5. Tag five people.

I'm afraid I've had to cheat a little with this! The book that was actually nearest to me offered up three extremely short sentences that didn't really make any sense when excised from their surrounding verbiage. I think the whole lot amounted to about ten rather empty words - how dull!! So I grabbed a book that was slightly further away, in the hope that it might deliver something a bit more interesting. Here's the prescribed excerpt:

"Something like a backfire sounded in the street outside. Mr Rosseter stopped in the middle of the sentence. His eyes blurred, like lamps swept suddenly with a gust of rain, and his mouth dropped open, showing a trickle of blood in one corner."

Ooh - macabre! Am I supposed to say what book this is from? Oh well, I'm sure anyone who wants to know will ask. :-)  It's a very good one.  I might have to re-read it now!

Well, let's get tagging. How about [profile] sroit , [profile] upasaka , [personal profile] steve98052 , [profile] alawston  and [profile] velvetgirl0.  Books books books!

In other news, I've had an odd couple of days.  Yesterday I stayed home ill from work (a very weird migraine - how come they are different every time?!  Often I don't even realise that's what's wrong with me at first.  This one felt like I'd been punched in the right temple.  Nice.), and spent most of the day asleep!  Today I still feel a bit distant, but right now I'm being cooked for, which is always a good thing.

Hopefully I'll be back on posting form soon enough, when my brain is working properly!

Now then.  Time to be topical.  I've seen this on a number of journals now (I've even asked some questions, as suggested!).  So I suppose to be fair I should open up the floor for questions myself.  Here goes.

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, the benefit of revolutions, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.

Ok!  Fire away! :-)

Eavesdrop, snoop, and sigh with yearning…

This journal is not a private diary, it is more like an occasional, imaginary column. Therefore, much of it is on public display. However, if you want to read my occasional attempts at creative writing, my Caution Elf tells me I should only show that stuff to my friends. You know what to do. :-)

NB: If you add me in an unsolicited fashion, please introduce yourself. Otherwise I will probably ignore you.
